As Program Director, J.D. Salyers oversees the clinical operations of the therapeutic rehabilitation program with a deep, personal commitment to the power of second chances. His own path to the field was anything but traditional; beginning his college career at 26, after serving honorably in the United States Army for eight years, he spent the next eight years in dedicated pursuit of his next mission, achieving his independent licensure as an LCSW.

Having built an extensive background in substance abuse treatment, mental health, and advocacy as a board member of the KY-NASW, J.D. is driven by a simple but profound "pay it forward" philosophy. He views his work as a way to return the same life-changing opportunities he was once given by others. Under his leadership, the clinical program is a place of empathy and growth, designed to help others find the same success he worked so hard to achieve.
